The home
The Crossway at a glance
The Crossway pairs brick and ivory panels with recessed balconies. The ground floor meets the street with a cafe or retail space and a resident lobby. A community room and a cowork room open to the rear service court, with shared restrooms, mail and bicycle storage. An elevator and two separate stairs serve the five residential floors above. Each floor holds four corner homes. The two-bedroom homes have a primary bedroom with an ensuite, a second bedroom, a second full bath, laundry and open living, dining and kitchen. The one-bedroom homes trade the second bedroom for a large dining and work area and a pantry. Every home has a full kitchen, in-home laundry and a recessed 8 by 4 ft balcony.

How it's built
The Crossway, built with panelized construction
MBS builds The Crossway from factory-made wall panels, floor cassettes and roof panels, CNC-cut in our St. Louis plant to the approved drawings. Panels ship flat and are set on a conventional foundation. The finished home is wood framing, not a modular box or a manufactured home, with up to a 50% quicker construction schedule.
