The Haven at a glance
The Haven is built for relief housing. Twelve cottages sit in two rows of six facing a shared garden, joined by a 6 ft central walk. Each cottage is a complete private home with a covered entry, a living and dining room, a full kitchen, a bedroom with a wardrobe, a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a utility closet. At the end of the walk, a 40 by 30 ft support building holds a community lounge, a dining area with an eight-seat table, a shared kitchen, a private support office, a laundry with four machines, a shared bathroom and a service room. A separate service drive reaches the support building. Every building is single-story.

How it's built
The Haven, built with panelized construction
MBS builds The Haven from factory-made wall panels, floor cassettes and roof panels, CNC-cut in our St. Louis plant to the approved drawings. Panels ship flat and are set on a conventional foundation. The finished home is wood framing, not a modular box or a manufactured home, with up to a 50% quicker construction schedule.
