Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Mark Turnbull

Mark is the Founder and driving force behind MBS and has expertly assembled a dynamic executive team, board of advisors, and industry partners. With 20 years of entrepreneurial experience under his belt, Mark's diverse background spans real estate investment, construction, land development, property management, business development, and leadership roles as a marketing and creative director.

A dedicated humanitarian, Mark's compassionate nature is at the heart of MBS's mission. He has devoted time to volunteering at local homeless shelters and making multiple trips to Haiti to help build schools, homes, and orphanages. His unwavering commitment to making a positive impact shapes how MBS operates and grows.

Chief Technology Officer

Lorne Henderson

The design engineer behind our groundbreaking preparatory connection technology spearheads our engineering and design team with his vast expertise.

With a rich background spanning over two decades, Lorne has worked for numerous companies and as an independent contractor. His experience encompasses designing lumber manufacturing facilities, fluid power systems, sawmill equipment, highway tanker trucks, drill rigs, and various manufacturing innovation designs.

Chief Construction Officer

Bryan Lynch

With more than 30 years of experience in modular manufacturing and offsite construction, Bryan possesses a wealth of knowledge and expertise. He has successfully initiated numerous operations from scratch, taking on roles in Modular Design and Engineering, Production Management, Quality Assurance, General Management, and Operations Management.
 

Holding over 57 building and general contracting licenses, Brian brings decades of experience in team-building and collaborating with start-ups, ensuring a strong foundation for any project he undertakes.

Chief Financial Officer

Beth Schulte, CPA, MBA

Beth brings over 30 years of financial leadership and innovation to MBS. As a seasoned CFO with experience in both publicly traded and privately held companies, Beth has a proven track record in capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and guiding startups and emerging growth companies through strategic scaling and IPO processes.

Her expertise spans diverse industries, including healthcare, technology, real estate, construction, financial services, and manufacturing. With a foundation built on Big 4 advisory, tax, and audit experience at Ernst & Young (EY), KPMG, and UHY LLP, Beth specializes in creating clear financial strategies, managing cash flow, and driving business success for high-growth companies.

Maxine Clark

Maxine Clark is one of the true innovators in the retail industry. In 1997, she founded Build-A-Bear Workshop®, a teddy-bear-themed retail-entertainment experience. There are over 400 stores worldwide, and over 200 million stuffed animals have been sold. In June 2013, Maxine stepped down from her executive role to apply her entrepreneurial skills to her passion for improving K-12 public education and investing in and mentoring women and minority entrepreneurs.

Don Pohl

President of Ranken Technical College, he has been with the institution for over 20 years, having served as Executive Vice-President, Vice-President for Education, Dean of Academic Affairs, Information Technology Division Chair, and a computer networking technology instructor. Mr. Pohl holds an MBA and BA in Computer Science from Webster University and an Associate of Technology  from Ranken.

Marvin Steele

Marvin is the President and CEO of the Heartland St. Louis Black Chamber of Commerce. He is committed to improving the performance of Black-Owned Businesses in and around the Greater St. Louis Metropolitan Area.

Marvin is the Founder and Manager of Urban Testing Labs, a clinical diagnostic laboratory. His corporate experience began in the early 1970s, working with the Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA). He began as a sales engineer and quickly progressed to managing accounts totaling over $40 million in sales.

Matt Drinen

Matt Drinen is the Principal of Emerald Capital Strategic Advisors and Co-Founder of Impact Marketplace. He has over 11 years of experience in Finance and Banking related to New Markets, Historic Tax Credits, and Opportunity Zone Investments. His expertise spans the structuring, closing, and managing developments for those tax credits and investments.
